Program Overview - The Microsoft Student Partner Program recognizes top young minds from around the world that are passionate about technology. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to develop real-world skills to help you succeed in your future career, to help others learn about the technology of today and tomorrow, and to connect with other like-minded students, all whilst having a ton of fun along the way. The tenure is for 1 academic year and can be renewed by the MSP India Team if the MSP has acceptable performance and continues to meet the eligibility criteria.
 What is a Microsoft Student Partner(msp)? - The ‘ideal candidate’ would be a passionate and enthusiast individual who wants to learn about new tools and technologies. You would need to have a whole range of skills including excellent time management, organization and communication skills to ensure that you could host successful campus events. An MSP should be comfortable and confident presenting in front of large audiences of both students and faculty members. General marketing skills come in very handy in order to allow you to articulate your ideas effectively when presenting. MSPs are social, friendly and approachable individuals who like to meet new people. You will require the ability work as a team as well as use your own initiative. In summary, MSPs are innovative and creative students who are extremely passionate about technology and who like to help others.

2012-2013 Academic Year Selection Process

• * The MSP selection process for 2012-2013 in India has started. If you wish to apply for the MSP program in India, please do not submit applications to other countries- those applications will not be considered.

Disclaimer: This is a voluntary program for students and does not involve any fees. It is neither a course nor an internship.

Following are the details of the selection process. Please go through these carefully.

Candidates will have to participate in each of the following 3 rounds to qualify as a Microsoft Student Partner. Candidates will receive points for each activity. A candidate will be selected as an MSP based on points received & number of currently active MSPs in his/her college.

Initial Round: Registration

Every candidate needs to fill the registration form giving complete and accurate information.

If you have not registered, your submissions for subsequent rounds will not be considered.

Please ensure that you submit a valid email address as important instructions will be sent to this email. Make sure you enter the same email address in all subsequent rounds of the MSP selection procedure.

Round 1: Video Submission - 100 points

You have to create a video of 2-3 minutes (minimum 2 minutes, maximum 3 minutes) covering the following points:

A. Why you would like to become a Microoft Student Partner?

B. Your skills that will make you a great MSP

C. Pick any one of the following Microsoft technology/platform (Windows 8, Windows Phone, Windows Azure, Internet Explorer 9/10) and tell us why you are excited about it.

The video has to be submitted on YouTube and should be made public.

Make sure that you are facing the camera while speaking and that you are not reading from any book/presentation/computer. We want to see you speak!

You then need to fill the form on the URL mentioned below and submit the correct video URL along with other details.

Points will be given on the basis of video submission, quality and number of views.

You should also try and get your peers to view the video. Getting a higher number of views will fetch you more points.

Round 2: App Development -

50 points per Windows Phone app

100 points per Windows 8 app

Develop a Windows Phone app and/or a Windows 8 app.

You will get points only if your Windows Phone app is published on the Marketplace, or only if the Windows 8 app clears the App Excellence Lab.

Apps published only after 23 July 2012 will be considered.

Details of Windows 8 app submission for the App Excellence Lab will be posted shortly.

Following Windows Phone apps will not be considered:

·        Calculators (simple calculator, scientific calculator, love calculator, BMI calculator, etc.)

·        RSS Readers

·        Apps made using AppMakr

·        Converters (volume converter, area converter, temperature converter, etc.)

To enable you to create a free account on AppHub for Windows Phone app submission, a DreamSpark access key will be emailed to you (on the email address provided by you at the time of registration) after 26 August 2012. This will also contain instructions for activating the DreamSpark key.

It can simply be downloaded and used as a portable application to customize your Windows 7 services settings, to meet your requirements. With judicious tweaking, it can make your system faster, as you will be disabling services which you do not require.

6. Click a preset (Default, Safe, Tweaked, Advanced/BareBones), to set preconfigured Tweaks. 
7. The Safe setting is (you guessed it!) safe! Tweak and Advanced settings, are for Advanced users to set their Services.

100th Post: My Blogging Journey

Today in the evening, i login into my Blogger dashboard.I found that i am going to write my 100th post.I was very excited !! I click on the New Post button & started thinking the Title... After thinking i picked up 3 titles & ask my friends on facebook to choose the good catchy one.They were happy too & giving me compliments.

While they were giving their opinions,i just went to my Edit Posts page to see my journey from 0 to 99 posts,i was shocked ! there was an unpublished (Draft) Post which means i have to write one more post as that will be my 99th post.Now i was Unhappy & sad. Because now i have to think for my new post but soon i got my new post i.e. my 99th post NFS Hot pursuit.

After that, Once again i came back to selection of  title for my 100th Post.Most of my friends like-

So Tonight I’m writing my 100th blog post on kamleshinside.blogspot.com. Back when I began this blog in May 2009. My First Post was About Me. This was my first post Not my first Blog! As before kamleshinside.blogspot.com i had opened many other blogs with many Email IDs.I also found that this is the 12th month of my blogging which resembles that i have completed my 100th post in one year.

Why i became Blogger ?

I was highly inspired from my brother Ritesh Kawadkar who blogs at askritesh at that time.He is a Tech blogger.One day he showed his blog,Visitor stats,Comments,etc. I was Highly Impressed Name,Fame & ofcourse blog.He also told me about the Google Adsense. At the very same time i decided to open my Tech blog to make money online.After posting 5 posts i applied for google adsense. Google replies that "your site must be 6 months old". Then i came to know more about google adsense as i searched most of the thing about it.

So Why i became Blogger ? answer is simple just for Name,Fame & Money.

Mistakes

SEO, Copyright policy, was unknown for me.So i steal posts/contents especially of my brother blogs. (but i deleted all those posts after getting known about it.)

After some days i decided to open another blog as i didn't got the success on my first blog, so i made 1 more Email ID & so the blog. Through each blog i applied for google adsense.This process continues till i saw the create a blog option on right hand side in blogger Dashboard, which means we can start many blogs under one email id.

Finally i made another email id & start blogging.Here comes the another problem i.e. blog url, i was thinking,finding, then sunddenly my eyes stick to CPU & i got my Blog url "KamleshInside" (nonsense!) i have modified "Intel Inside".

This hilarious blog url makes me sad, but now i cannot change it.However the SEO gives me some relief.

I was not updating my blog regularly.Leave regularity, i am updating my blog after 3 months.as a result i lose my loyal visitors.

Mistakes i made- Many blogs, Bad blog url, No knowledge of SEO, Stealing Contents, Running behind money.,etc

Google Adsense

As i have told you above that from each blog i applied for google adsense. As a result my adsense account was approved on my first blog but soon it was disabled because i have applied for it again from another blog with another email id.This keeps on going as it is against google adsense policy & i keep on opening blogs with different email id.About this i come to know when i was login in my some old blogs & email accounts.

However, finally my adsense was approved in April 2010 & i earned more than 170$ just in 4 months.



But here also problem comes as always, No this time i have not made any mistake, it is the PIN code Verification letter send by google to verify the adsense account. Today it is almost 5 months but still i am waiting for letter. If it doesnt come within 1 month, i will lose my hard earned money :(
Hope i will receive it soon...

Adsense- Dont run behind money! it is not easy to make money, it requires lots of hardwork in every field.

1.MP PET Online counseling- a counseling blog

I remained active on skool to college. It has taught me a lot about SEO, Google Adsense, Popularity, effects of Social bookmarking,etc. All above it, it has solved my purpose of becoming blogger i.e. Name , Fame & Money!. Now i am thinking of opening a counseling website.

2.Kamlesh Inside- a tech blog!

Before posting my first post How To Make Computer Run Faster on kamleshinside.blogspot.com, i have a little knowledge about SEO, Making Money Online, Blogging, etc as i learned it from my mistakes!

Today i am writing my 100th post & i can say that now i am almost Expert in SEO,Google Adsense,Blogging,Blogger Templates,Tips n Tricks,....etc.

The thing i most like is Blogger Template Designing, soon i will start that tag.I was thinking of opening a tech website, but after looking at the Tech Blogs scenario i have postponed it.

However, i am going make kamleshinside a nice tech blog. I will be writing on SEO, Google Adsense, Blogger Templates, Blogger Tools,etc in the coming months.

As it is more than 3hrs. i am continuously writing my 100th post.Now i will say -

IE9 will Not require windows 7 SP1

In the Last Post under Internet Explorer , We have discussed about the new features of Internet Explorer 9 beta [IE9]

Internet Explorer 9 has a minimum requirement for the following Operating Systems:

• Windows Vista (x86 and x64) with Service Pack 2 (SP 2) or later versions
• Windows 7 (x86 and x64) or later versions
• Windows Server 2008 (x86 and x64) with Service Pack 2 (SP 2) or later versions
• Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 or later versions
If you are running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 less than Service Pack 2, install the latest Service Pack.

I do not have SP1 installed on my Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9 Beta is installed and running just fine here!

LinkedIn integrated with Windows Live & Facebook chat

Windows Live has announced a new partnership with business-oriented social networking site LinkedIn.

LinkedIn contacts are linked to their corresponding Windows Live contacts, enabling existing Windows Live features such as picture tagging and the e-mail address book to include data from LinkedIn. LinkedIn status updates will now be visible in Messenger, just like existing MySpace and Facebook contacts. And just as with those status updates, comments posted from Windows Live will be visible in LinkedIn. Users can also update LinkedIn status from within Messenger, the natural counterpart to the ability to see contacts' statuses.

Connecting Windows Live profiles to LinkedIn is available immediately. Visibility of LinkedIn contacts in Hotmail has started rolling out already, and will be available worldwide in the next three weeks.

# SunSpider test & Acid3 Test

For checking the improvement in the overall performance of the browser, SunSpider test is commonly used. When the performance of IE9 preview version was tested, the team found it to be better than Firefox and IE8.

Another test of standard compliance is Acid3 which tests around 100 aspects of different technologies. Preview version of IE9 scores 32 out of 100. These scores are bound to improve as the team is still working on factors like CSS selectors.

# Features of Internet Explorer 9

New JavaScript Engine -Chakra

IE team came up with a new code called Chakra. The time that gets wasted by any web application in online running is due to JavaScript. Hence, faster JavaScript engine would mean that the application will run faster. Looking at the demands of people for faster JavaScript engine, this new code was developed. According to the SunSpider JavaScript benchmarks, IE9 is around five times as fast as IE8. Also, Chakra has got valuable features like:

# Hardware Acceleration

IE9 has come with the DirectX family of Windows API's (application programming interfaces). This helps the web developers to move the text and graphic rendering from CPU to graphics card. The graphic card is equipped with Direct2D and DirectWrite APIs. Acceleration of graphics would mean graphically rich and intensive sites would open at a faster speed and use less of your CPU. Direct2D has also led to improved font quality and increased readability with positioning of sub-pixel. Also, the web writer need not rewrite the site to be opened in IE9.

# SVG Support

IE9 also has scalable vector graphics which helps in creating powerful and attention grabbing visuals. The SVG features supported in the preview version are:

1.Basic geometrical shapes such as lines, polylines, circle, rectangle, ellipses and polygons.

2.Coordinates systems, units and transforms

3.Full capability of d-attribute, path element and colors.

4.Metadata and extensibility.

5.Document structure, styling and scripting.

# HTML5

We know that HTML is the code on which everything on the net runs. HTML5 is the new and most powerful edition of this code. Along with the features line Cross document messaging, Ajax navigation, DOM storage, ononline and onoffline event handlers that appeared in IE8, HTML5 also has selection APIs element in IE9. This will help IE keep up with the trends that are set with the existing set of web browsers of increasing browsing speed and quality.

HTML5 has improved HTML parsing of generic elements and overlapping tags. This has also improved parsing changes from script to script blocks, parsing SVG in HTML and parsing XHTML.

# CSS

CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is a style sheet language used to describe the look and formatting of any web pages. IE9 has included several feature of CSS3. CSS2, which was included in IE8, had several complains. Improvements have been done in that direction and the new features of CSS3 added in IE9 are:

1.Backgrounds and borders module

2.Color module

3.Namespace selector module

4.CSS3 selectors

# Features Still Missing

Though IE9 is a good product, especially for web developers, experts feel that there are some features of HTML5 missing in the browser. These features are present in Firefox and Chrome. This includes open web front support, Ogg Theora for videos instead of the existing H.264 codec, web workers and canvas elements. There is another disappointing bullet in the announcement regarding the Windows XP users. It says that IE9 can only be installed if you have Windows Vista or Windows 7. It will not work on Windows XP version.

How To Open Hidden W7 Themes

Are you using W7 (Windows 7) ? If yes then i have brought a How To after which you can use all Hidden W7 Themes.

Do you know there are many Hidden Themes in W7 based on different Countries or you can say that this are Regional Themes with multiple unique background images But all these are Hidden from W7 users.

If W7 is Install with Canada Settings then only Canada theme is shown but there are actually four more themes hidden from Users.

These are the Themes Available in W7...

Isnt it Nice then use all these Hidden W7 Themes...

It is very easy task. Go to C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT Directory. The MCT directory inside the Globalization directory is super hidden therefore it will not show even if show hidden files and folders is enabled. So Copy Paste the below Code

C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT Directory

in Address bar & Hit enter.

After that you will be in the MCT folder Hence you will see 5 Directories...

# MCT-GB
# MCT-AU
# MCT-ZA
# MCT-US

To view and use the Regional theme, you have to navigate into each MCT-Region directory, enter the Theme sub-directory and double click the theme file.
